Zenith People are working with our client who are looking to recruit for an Engineering/Technical Manager on a permanent basis. Our client is recruiting for someone to help build upon their existing superb reputation for the go to company for Commercial heatpumps and CHP systems.

In this role will be supported directly by a motivated and enthusiastic management team with decades of hands-on experience.

Reporting into the Managing Director, duties and responsibilities will be as follows:-

Main Objectives:

  • Maintain and drive the Engineering function of the Business with high energy and focus.
  • Be hands on and willing to become involved is all aspects of the Company’s operations.
  • Build upon and play a pivotal role in continually elevating their great reputation.
  • Have had previous leadership roles, managed design engineers, commissioning technicians and subcontractors.
  • Capable of the mechanical design and coordinated electrical design of the Companies full range of products.
  • Lead by example and uphold the standards, ethos of the Group.
  • Be commercially minded and develop effective relationships with critical OEM suppliers.
  • To comply with the Group’s and Government Health and Safety Policy, GDPR and HSE.

Required experience

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 10 years mechanical engineering experience of hands-on design and leading the design development and commissioning of electromechanical machines.
  • Experience in the design of commercial Heat pumps and refrigeration would be ideal but not essential.
  • Experience in overseeing all aspects of the technical design, specification and the commissioning of installed heat pump and CHP systems.
  • Competency in the specification and design of on and offline control systems.
  • Delivery of M&E type projects to specification, on time and within budget.
  • Proficient in CAD design or equivalent.
  • Be responsible for all mechanical approval and sign off.
  • Demonstrable success in the technical arena.
  • Ability to organise, lead, develop and motivate a small technical based team.

  • Competitive salary of £50,000 to £60,000.
