Engineering Manager / Workshop Manager

Looking for an experienced Engineering Manager / Workshop Manager with experience running a workshop repair environment for large / commercial vehicles like heavy goods vehicles, trucks, lorries, public service vehicles, Buses, Coaches or similar.

This role is to manage all aspects of the bus operation in Preston. You will be responsible for the Mechanical repair team, Cleaning, Stores and Facilities Maintenance for the depot.

Key responsibilities:

  • Management, motivation and training of staff
  • Planning work and ensuring availability of vehicles
  • Ensuring compliance with all statutory regulations
  • Maintain accurate records
  • Deliver performance improvements

Applicants for this role require previous experience managing a similar Engineering team.

A HGV or PSV driving licence is preferable although training can be given.

Salary £50000.

Full time permanent position.
