Job Title: Engineering Craftsperson
Location: Lowestoft
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Dependent on Experience 
Overview: Our client, is seeking a skilled Engineering Craftsperson to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality components from customer drawings, utilizing their expertise in surface grinding and demonstrating a proactive approach to problem-solving within a collaborative environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the production of precision components while working with cutting-edge technology and a supportive team.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate surface grinding equipment to produce components according to customer specifications and quality standards.
  • Interpret and work from customer drawings, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail in all produced components.
  • Utilize own initiative to optimize processes and enhance efficiency in component production.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure seamless workflow and timely completion of projects.
  • Adhere to health and safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development initiatives to enhance skills and knowledge in precision engineering techniques.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in surface grinding is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with precision and accuracy, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Commitment to quality and continuous improvement in all aspects of work.

  • Overtime paid at 1 ½ x basic rate.
