We are looking for an Energy and Sustainability Manager to work for a leading fitness operator on a 9 month materbity cover contract, this is a hybrid opportunity, you would be expected to be based in the Dartford head office for 2 days per week with the remainder of the week being based from home. Whilst most of the centres are within or around the M25 there will be a requirement to travel further afield to the Northeast and Southwest.

Reporting into the head of Safety, Health, Environment and Quality the key responsibilities will include:

  • The development and delivery of the corporate sustainability strategy by being responsible for all aspects of energy and environmental management within the estate.
  • Overseeing the environmental performance of the organisation and maintaining the ISO 14001 environmental management system.
  • Working with local authority clients to help them achieve their Net Zero goals.
  • Identify and developing business cases for measures that will reduce energy and carbon impact.
  • Influence and guide both regional and Individual management teams in managing and reducing energy consumption..
  • Keeping up to date with environmental legislation and ensuring compliance with Waste Transfer Notes, Trade Effluent Consents, Display Energy Certificates, TM44

We are Ideally looking for candidates who are degree qualified in Environmental Science, Renewable Energy, Engineering or Sustainability in Environment Management.

In addition to competitive basic salary of 45K, benefits include a 6% matched pension scheme, free family gym membership with mileage is paid at 45p/mile.
