I am currently recruiting for an IAG Support Officer / Employment Coach to work on behalf of a leading local authority based in Sheffield.

This is an exciting new project and will be challenging yet really rewarding.

Your day will be varied and will include the below duties:

  • Working closely with participants
  • Providing CV writing advice
  • Supporting with job searches and advising on how to access opportunities
  • Providing employability advice and support
  • Give excellent customer service to both internal and external customers and stakeholders
  • Work as part of a wider team to help achieve the goals of the project
  • Update the system accurately and in a timely fashion with participants details/outcomes
  • Complete and maintain relevant documentation in-line with policies and processes
  • Support in the recruitment of learners
  • Develop a working relationship with Job Centres and other external partners

As the successful person joining the team you will ideally have the below skills and experiences:

  • Have experience of working with learners/job seekers
  • 16+ experience is desirable but not essential as long as you have confidence in working in the 16+ field
  • Be knowledgeable of the IAG agenda
  • Have excellent IT skills including the use of MS Excel and Outlook
  • Have strong accuracy and attention to detail
  • Be customer focussed and strive to provide a leading service
  • Enjoy working as part of a team

The hours of work are full time and are Monday to Friday (Condensed hours are possible too).

The hourly rate is £16.40 (PAYE).
