Join the esteemed employment team at a leading law firm known for their expertise in handling complex, high-profile, and high-stakes employment matters.

The firm are seeking a talented Employment Associate to join their dynamic team in London. The successful candidate will work on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious employment law matters, providing strategic advice and representation to clients across various sectors.

About the Team

  • Renowned for their strategic approach and litigation expertise, the team handle cases covering diverse legal issues, from diversity and gender pay to employment status and the gig economy.
  • The work spans contentious and non-contentious matters, seamlessly integrating with incentives and business immigration teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide advice on contentious and non-contentious employment law matters to a diverse client base, including discrimination, restrictive covenants, HR advisory, TUPE, unfair dismissal, redundancies, settlement agreements, data theft, and corporate transactions.
  • Opportunity to handle litigious matters in Employment Tribunal, High Court, and appellate courts.
  • Clients come from various sectors such as financial services, fashion, luxury goods, retail, recruitment, media, sport, and life sciences.
  • Collaborate with Partners and Associates across the team, maintaining high levels of client contact.

Requirements:

  • 3-7 years PQE in employment law from a reputable practice.
  • Strong academic background.
  • Transactional, advisory, and litigation experience preferred.
  • Experience representing both corporates and individuals desirable.
  • Ability to manage workload independently and engage effectively with clients.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships internally and externally.
