Hutchison Ports has an exciting opportunity for an Employee Relations Manager (Maternity Cover) to join the production department.

Location: Port of Felixstowe, UK

Salary: Up to £60,950 per annum (depending on skills and experience)

Job Type: Full-Time, Maternity Cover

Employee Relations Manager (Maternity Cover) – The Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR professional to join the HR Department as Maternity Cover. The Employee Relations Manager will provide expertise on employee relations and policy matter across the organisation using internal and external insight to develop an employee relations and employment policy strategy, policies and guidance.

Employee Relations Manager (Maternity Cover) – Key Responsibilities:

- Development and leadership of the ER strategy in service of building a strong performance and compliance culture

- Lead the development and review of all employment policies and employment contracts

- Assess impact of current and proposed policies and make recommendations for improvement or to address areas of inconsistency

- Lead the Case Management Team, identify risks and leading on appropriate action

- Provide specialist ER expertise and guidance on organisation wide people related activities and oversee complex case management assessing risk against commerciality.

- Be proactive in the approach to Absence Management and actively seek new ways to improve attendance at work

- Manage the Absence Management processes.

Employee Relations Manager (Maternity Cover) – Who are we looking for

- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in in a Human Resources Management role in a complex, ideally unionised, organisation with considerable experience of resourcing and workforce strategy and planning

- Previous line management/supervisory experience, or with demonstrable leadership qualities through previous positions

- A demonstrable track record of leading, motivating and managing teams both directly and indirectly to achieve significant, sustainable service improvements and outstanding results

- Educated to A level standard (or equivalent)

- Good MS Office skills, ability to use different tools to present information

- Full DVLA licence
