Our client is a manufacturer of capital equipment for the FMCG sector, and due to ongoing success, they are now looking to recruit an experienced electronics technician. This person will be responsible for inspecting, testing and repairing electronic equipment such as PCBs and assemblies, ensuring that equipment is fully functioning as per the specifications. 

This role is based in Banbury but may require some UK travel - company vehicle is provided for this purpose.

Key duties & responsibilities:
  • Fully inspect and test new assemblies from suppliers to defined specifications and fix where possible.
  • Formulate and write test procedures for new and existing equipment.
  • Test, fault find and repair electronic assemblies.
  • Complete repair documentation.
  • Occasional contact with customers, to assist and/or support with their equipment.
  • To assist with new product development.
Skills & Experience Required:
  • Ideally a degree or HND in Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience in electronics manufacturing preferred.
  • Experience / very good understanding of analogue and digital electronic circuitry.
  • Excellent soldering skills, through hole and SMD.
  • Ability to understand and fault find electronic equipment.
  • Ability to read and understand electronic circuit drawings and electrical drawings.
  • Familiarity with electronic test equipment (oscilloscopes, DVM’s etc.) and test software/diagnostics tools.
  • Ability to communicate with all departments clearly and effectively within the business.
