Title: Electrical Engineering Assessor

Location: West Yorkshire

Pay: £25 - £30 Per Hour

Hours: 3-4 full days per week, ongoing temporary

Reed - Further Education are seeking an Electrical Engineering Assessor to work for a college in West Yorkshire.

What’s the day-to-day responsibilities of an Electrical Engineering Tutor / Assessor?

  • Plan, prepare and develop schemes of work, session plans, teaching and learning resources, learning and assessment plans.
  • Deliver and assess essential knowledge and understanding to learners.
  • Plan, prepare and develop effective schemes of work, lesson plans, teaching and learning resources including the development of on-line learning resources for identified modules.
  • Deliver inspiring sessions across the curriculum using a wide range of teaching methods for identified modules.
  • Assess student work, provide constructive and timely feedback to motivate and inspire the learner to improve and record learners’ progress for identified modules.
  • Carry out internal verification duties in line with quality assurance processes. Develop and strengthen relationships with learners and provide support to ensure successful outcomes.

What are the required skills and qualifications needed for this role?

  • Ideally an assessor qualification however they are happy to support in obtaining this qualification.
  • Level 3 in a relevant qualification – ideally Electrical Engineering / Maintenance.
  • 18th Edition regulations.
  • Knowledge and experience in mechanical is essential - we are happy to consider applicants that wish to move into teaching from industry.
  • Exceptional verbal /written communication and interpersonal skills
  • IT literate including knowledge of coding/programming. Also word processing, spreadsheets and databases i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel and Google platforms
