Electronic Design Engineer

Location: Birmingham, B5 7HR
Salary: £26K - £40K per annum, Depending on Experience.
Contract: Full time, Permanent

Our products are designed and manufactured in our facility in Birmingham and exported throughout the world!

We now have an incredible opportunity to join us as an Electronic Design Engineer expanding the Design Team at our Birmingham production facility.

About the Electronic Design Engineer role:

You will plan and execute product development projects from initial ideas all the way through to release into manufacturing, ensuring our products meet their design criteria, are fit for purpose and are cost effective.

In addition to this, as our Electronic Design Engineer you will be responsible for:

  • Planning and managing projects.
  • Carrying out or assisting in the electronic hardware and software design of products.
  • Ensuring the quality of electronic hardware, embedded software and mechanical design.
  • Ensuring that products comply with the appropriate EMC, Radio, Safety and Environmental standards.
  • Participating in Product Compliance & Type Approval Testing.
  • Ensuring adherence to company quality procedures relating to product development.
  • Providing technical product support for the company’s existing products.

In order to be successful in this role it is essential that you have:

  • BSc, BEng in Electronic Engineering.
  • Digital and Analogue electronics hardware design experience.
  • PCB CAD Design
  • Software programming (C, C+)
  • Knowledge of Project Management

It would be great if you had:

  • Knowledge of product pre-qualification and qualification testing to International Marine Standards
  • Knowledge of Marine Industry
