Electrician (18 month FTC)

Adecco Engineering are currently recruiting for two Electricians based in the Warrington area for an 18 month fixed term contract. Our client are a not for profit organisation that prides themselves on providing affordable housing for a wide range of clientele across the North West of England.

This position plays an integral part of the Homes Directorate providing first class services to all of their customers through completion of the highest quality work.

Principle Accountabilities:

• To complete all electrical tasks assigned by management. These may include working on responsive repairs, void properties, aids and adaptions as well as planned improvement works to housing stock as requested.
• Translating repair requests into repair tasks inline with policies and working practices.
• To inspect, survey, quantify, risk assess and layout works prior to commencing any work.
• Installing equipment based on a job's specifications inline with manufacturers.
• Installing wiring and equipment inline with applicable standards - Currently BS7671.
• Test, inspect, commission electrical and analysis of results to comply with BS7671 wiring regulations and be accountable for the accurate completion of condition reports.
• Liaising with third parties, public and customers whilst carrying out working duties in a kind and professional manner.
• Take responsibility for accurately and timely recording and checking paperwork and electronic devices, including things like time sheets, job tickets, holiday requests and sickness forms.

Essential Requirements:

• Be able to demonstrate experience of working within a core trade with NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds, 2391 Testing Certificate or 18th Edition BS7671 Course.
• Good customer service and communication skills.
• The ability to follow defined proccesses and procedures in an accurate and consistent manner.
• Have understanding and awareness of Health & Safety in the workplace.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Packages.
• Strong working knowledge/understanding of building technology relative to core trades.

Desirable Requirements:

• Hold an ECS Card.
• Knowledge of Asbestos Awareness.
