Electrician

Skilled Electrician required for our client, a large leading and award-winning Civil Engineering and tunnelling company with sites across the UK.

Skilled Electrician Position Remuneration

• Salary £40,000 - £65,000 (negotiable depending on experience with machinery maintenance and motor control systems)
• 23 day's holiday plus 8 days Bank Holidays
• Life insurance 4 x salary
• Pension 5 % company 4% employee

The successful Electrician will be largely site-based out of our client's manufacturing and maintenance facility, based just outside Wellingborough, and will be working on a range of hire equipment within the tunnelling ventilation industry such as ventilation fans, dust extraction units, and grouting equipment.

Previous experience completing electrical installation and maintenance work on mechanical ventilation systems is highly desirable, but not essential.

Skilled Electrician Position Responsibilities

• Completing maintenance and installations of a range of tunnelling ventilation equipment, along with other equipment related to the civil engineering sector
• Performing routine testing of electrical equipment
• Occasionally supporting with site-based electrical installations

Skilled Electrician Position Requirements

• Strong technical knowledge within the electrical industry, ideally from an industrial background
• Experienced in handling 3-phase electrical systems and motor controls
• 18th Edition qualification essential
• ECS Gold Card desirable, or able to obtain one prior to starting
• Inspect & Test (2391), qualification desirable
• Previous experience completing machinery maintenance and motor control systems highly desirable
