You will be working for a Lancashire based Housing Association
Your new role The role of Supervisor plays an important role in providing a quality housing repairs service. It
ensures effective work planning and allocation of jobs for the teams of operatives delivering
housing repairs as well as quality checking and resolving of issues.
The role plays an integral part in ensuring the smooth running of operations which deliver
essential housing repairs. This role is crucial to deliver a high quality and efficient repairs and
maintenance service to customers in accordance with contract and service standards to meet
productivity and quality targets.
* You will manage and lead a team of operatives (up to 12) and resources in accordance with operational
requirements, service delivery and financial targets.
* You will ensure effective work planning and allocation of jobs to optimise work performance including
quality checks and people management.
* Liaise with customers with regards to site arrangements and to deal with any escalations or
complaints.
* You will liaise with clients in relation to site meetings, targets, priorities and standards for the
Repairs & Maintenance service.
* You will undertake risk assessments and method studies, maintaining accurate records to ensure the
health and safety of staff and customers.
* Maintain and supply accurate management information relating to the operational and
financial performance of the team
* Work with sub-contractors and other agencies.
* Contribute to service improvements to the team developing effective procedures and
systems.
What you'll need to succeed * You will have a strong interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to build productive and
professional relationships with customers, colleagues and stakeholders.
* Organisational skills with the ability to manage problems, challenges and conflicting
demands under pressure.
* Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements within the building industry
We are looking for a proactive, solution focussed supervisor able to work in a fast-paced
environment with a flexible and pragmatic management approach. You will be able to work
closely with customers and colleagues for successful outcomes. You will have demonstrable
experience in the use of ICT systems and associated management information.
The post holder will have to hold a valid UK driving licence and be required to provide a vehicle
for work purposes with relevant business insurance and a valid M.O.T.
The specific criteria for the roles are as follows:
* Electrical roles: You will have a City & Guilds 2382-18 or equivalent (18th edition)
and hold an appropriate electrical qualifications to NVQ level 3 or equivalent. You must
hold or be willing to work towards City & Guilds 2391.
What you'll get in return
Salary £36,340- £40,540
36 hours per week- mainly office based
28 days holiday plus bank holidays rising to 33 days plus bank holiday
