Job Title: Electrical Shift Maintenance Technician

Location: Cramlington, Northumberland

Responsibilities:

• Work autonomously with dayshift support – Dayshift Technicians and Mechanical Fitters.
• Undertake reactive breakdown diagnosis and repair.
• Undertake planned preventative maintenance activities as per maintenance schedules.
• Act as the single point of contact for all Maintenance plant and equipment issues based on a continental shift pattern
• Participate in project work, including installing and commissioning new equipment, machine modifications, improvement works, 
• Participate in Lean/Six Sigma continuous improvement projects.
• Maintain equipment logs and shift handovers.
• Work with the computerised maintenance management system and Maintenance of work records.
• Coordinate with sub-contractors
• Implement Permit to Work System
• Ensure safe isolation of plant and equipment.

Required Skills/Strengths:

• Time served Electrically biased Technician
• Experience in PLC’s HMI/MMI, particularly Allen Bradley, with a solid ability to interrogate PLC coding
• Experience in AC and DC variable speed drives
• Experience in working in Hazardous areas is preferable
• Ability to work under pressure
• Ideally, a minimum of an HNC (or equivalent) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
• Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment
• Work under pressure and often on their own
