Electrical Maintenance Engineer
Annual Salary: £45,000 +
Location: Herne Bay
Job Type: Full-time, (15:00 – 00:00, Tuesday – Saturday)
Overtime: Paid at 1.25 hourly rate
We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our clients Engineering Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining all production and plant equipment, ensuring corporate objectives are met effectively and efficiently. This role is ideal for someone with an electrical bias and a solid foundation in production factory engineering.
Day-to-day of the Electrical Maintenance Engineer role:
- Maintain production equipment to an agreed standard.
- Execute planned and preventative maintenance programmes on time and within budget.
- Adhere to Health & Safety regulations at all times.
- Perform fault finding and repairs on equipment while maintaining focus on daily demands.
- Continually review production processes and equipment for improvements.
- Monitor performance on all equipment against set KPIs.
- Work with 3 phase motors, circuit fault finding, safety relay fault finding, and mechanical elements such as chains, drives, conveyors, and pumps.
Required Skills & Qualifications of the Electrical Maintenance Engineer:
- HNC/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in an electrical biased engineering discipline or completed an engineering apprenticeship.
- Qualified in 17th edition wiring regulations.
- Knowledge of PLC systems and an understanding of mechanical and pneumatic systems in line with current legislations - HASAWA, COSHH, PUWER, LOLER, WAHR, and Electricity at Work Act.
- Experience in electrical control and drive circuits.
- 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role is preferable.
