What you'll do as the electrical & instrumentation technician

  • Scheduling and performing electrical and instrument maintenance repairs and troubleshooting.
  • Carrying out electrical and instrument inspections and calibrations.
  • Day-to-day management of maintenance tasks being undertaken by contractors.
  • Writing procedures and permits to ensure safe working.
  • Providing on-call support.
  • Managing projects.

What you'll need to apply for the electrical & instrumentation technician

  • A time-served electrical/instrumentation apprenticeship. Preferably with an ONC / HNC / HND qualification.
  • An 18th edition qualification.
  • Experience with electrical and instrument maintenance gained in a process environment, such as steel, chemical, oil, gas, etc.
  • Good knowledge of LV industrial systems, motors, motor control units and pumps.

Your package

A salary of £45,000 - £50,000 depending on experience, a company pension contribution of 9%, private healthcare, and 25 days holiday, increasing to 30 days with service, plus bank holidays.

Your working hours

Days, typically, 8 am - 4 pm, Monday to Friday, with the option of working 7 am - 4 pm and having EVERY OTHER FRIDAY OFF under a Nine-Day-Fortnight flexible working scheme.
