Its products are used worldwide across a range of sectors including transport, construction, mining, materials handling and environmental services providers. Currently seeking an Electrical Fitter to lead a small team in the workshop.

Electrical Fitter Team Leader - Requirements

  • Driving license
  • Confident in leading a team
  • Good all-round Electrical fitting skills and experience
  • Relevant Electrical Qualification
  • Effective problem solving
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Methodical and logical approach
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a team but also on their own initiative with little or no supervision
  • Practical approach to work with a good degree of common sense
  • Personal pride in work to ensure good quality results

Electrical Fitter Team Leader - Requirements

As an Electrical Fitter Team Leader, you will be responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining electrical systems and components. You will work closely with our engineering and installation teams to ensure that projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality.

  • Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to determine the layout and installation requirements of electrical systems
  • Install, assemble, and wire electrical components
  • Test electrical systems and components to ensure they meet safety and performance standards
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform repairs or replacements as needed
  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other team members to plan and execute electrical installations and upgrades
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including materials used, time spent, and any issues encountered
  • Provide training and guidance to apprentices and junior staff members as needed
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to plan and execute electrical installations and upgrades.
  • Assign tasks and oversee the work of team members to ensure that projects are completed according to specifications and quality standards.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members, troubleshooting issues and providing solutions as needed
