Highly regarded company based in Hayle, Cornwall s looking to hire an Electrical Assembly Engineer to work in their purpose-built factory.

The role involves the complete assembly of electromechanical handling equipment as well as the installation of hydraulic and pneumatic circuits.

A trained Electrical Installation Engineer, Heavy Vehicle Electrician or Agricultural Engineer would be well-suited to this role as there are many similarities. An electrical background is required for this position due to the nature of the work. The company will offer in-house company training on how to assemble their products and carry out the tasks required.

Main purpose of role: • To increase the level of output from the assembly department. • Assemble lifting equipment with a high attention to detail. • Work to provide customers with the highest quality handling equipment available. Key tasks: • Installation of electrical circuits used in various handling products. • Assemble lifting equipment according to engineering drawings and procedures. • Install hydraulic and pneumatic circuits (training provided). • Checking other staff member’s electrical work to ensure compliance.

Qualifications required: • Qualifications in electrical fields (required). • 18th Edition electrical wiring qualification (required). • Qualifications in mechanical fields (desirable). Key skills required: • Professional understanding of electrical circuitry and standards. • Willingness to learn about hydraulic and pneumatic circuits. • Good communication and people skills including a positive attitude and outlook. • Internal drive to always improve and make tasks more efficient.
