Job role: Electrical Development Engineer

Salary: £37,000-£43,000 DOE

Location: Oakham, Rutland

Hours: 8.00-16.00 Monday to Friday

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

The Role

· Manage and assist in engineering and development projects on site, providing second hand support to the engineering team where required.

· To implement continuous improvements methodologies, making suggestions to improve manufacturing processes.

· Manage project resources, ensuring that the budget is adhered to and all compliance is carried out correctly.

· Write equipment specifications that are easy to understand, ensuring a smooth hand over to the production team.

· Carry out all work according to company procedures and Health & Safety Policies

The Requirements

· Previous experience working in an improvements/development position within a manufacturing environment (essential)

· Previous experience surrounding installation and commissioning of plant machinery (essential)

· Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulic and Pneumatic capabilities (essential)

· Relevant Electrical/Mechanical Qualifications (City & Guilds/NVQs) - Advantageous

· Knowledge of PLC and/or Servo control systems (advantageous)

· Understanding of CAD packages, preferably SolidWorks or AutoCAD (Advantageous)

· Full UK Driving License required
