Electrical Engineer

Electrical Engineer required for my client based in Rochester, Kent, where they will join a team and work on a specialist range of industrial food processing and packaging machinery.

The companies' clients cover both the UK and Ireland and range from major PLCs to smaller independent producers.

The supply of machinery ranges from stand-alone manual bag sealers to full turnkey automated production lines, which can also involve robotics.

Electrical Engineer Position Overview

• Build electrical control cabinets from component level
• Build and wire systems electrically and mechanically
• Carry out modifications to existing machines
• Install new or upgrade existing safety systems
• Work alongside with team members on all projects

Electrical Engineer Position Requirements

• Good understanding of industrial electrical principles including high current power circuits and low voltage control circuits.
• Minimum 17th edition qualification.
• Basic understanding of PLC's.
• Basic mechanical knowledge including pneumatics.
• Maintain safe working practices.
• Safety Circuits experience.
• Electrical Panel Building experience.
• Based within a commutable distance of Rochester.
• Full UK driving licence.

Electrical Engineer Position Remuneration

• Salary - £35,000 to £42,500 - dependent upon experience, skills and qualifications.
• Full time position - Monday to Friday.
• 25 days holiday + plus bank holidays.
• Company pension scheme.
