Job Title - Electrical Engineer

Location & flexibility - Oxfordshire, hybrid working (2/3 days onsite)

Salary & Benefits - £50,000 - £65,000 + discretionary bonus

About the Job -

  • Specification, design, and commissioning of electrical and electronic systems.
  • Authoring design documentation, as well as commissioning and operating manuals.
  • Authoring risk assessments and installation method statements for projects.
  • Liaising with engineers and scientists responsible for ST40 systems including cooling, vacuum, gas, diagnostics and controls.
  • Fulfilling the operational roles of Power Supply Engineer and ST40 Operator.
  • Internally the post holder will communicate with the Head of Electrical Engineering, and other engineers working within the Company.
  • Externally the post holder will be responsible for the management of electrical and electronic engineering manufacturing contracts, and will therefore liaise with manufacturers and component suppliers.

About you -

  • A degree-level qualification or equivalent experience in electrical or electronic engineering.
  • Ability to author and edit and interpret electrical drawings or AutoCAD or equivalent.
  • Experience in the design, specification, commissioning and operation of industrial electrical and electronic systems.
  • Familiarity with industrial control, including discrete controllers and centralised control systems.
  • Familiarity with PLCs and fieldbus communication.
  • Experience with mains power distribution.
  • Strong understanding of electrical safety, including knowledge and understanding of the application of BS 7671.
