As an Electrical Design Engineer at our client's site in Dorset, you will play a pivotal role in the development and implementation of electrical designs for a variety of projects. Working closely with our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for translating client requirements into detailed electrical schematics, layouts, and specifications. From concept to completion, you will oversee the design process, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Electrical Design Engineer Responsibilities:
- Develop electrical schematics, diagrams, and layouts using industry-standard software.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and constraints.
- Conduct feasibility studies and cost estimates for proposed electrical systems.
- Perform electrical load calculations and power distribution analysis.
- Select appropriate components and materials for electrical systems, considering factors such as performance, reliability, and cost.
- Prepare technical documentation, including design specifications, drawings, and reports.
- Participate in design reviews and provide technical support during the construction phase.
- Stay abreast of advancements in electrical engineering technology and industry best practices.
Electrical Design Engineer Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in electrical design
- Proficiency in electrical design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, codes, and standards (e.g., IEC, NEC).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday permanent days.
