My client is looking for an Electrical Design Engineer where you will design and develop new electronic and electrical sub-systems for complex process machinery - developing electrical sub-systems in conjunction with other specialists. Your role will be to design electrical standards and approved codes of practice. It will also include concept and planning, feasibility, production, and introduction and support of new parts at customer sites.

They design, manufacture and market wafer processing solutions for the global semiconductor industry and related industries. They provide industry leading etch and deposition process technologies on a range of single wafer handling platforms. End-market applications include MEMS, advanced packaging, LED, high speed RF device IC's and power semiconductors.

Key responsibilities:

  • Integration of electronic devices.
  • Electrical assembly, Wiring harness and PCB design.
  • Electronic component selection.
  • Design and specification of electrical distribution hardware, cabling/ breakers etc.
  • Supporting assembly both remote and onsite Testing/Verification of development projects Creating engineering bills of materials

Skills and Qualifications:

  • A minimum of HNC/equivalent experience
  • Strong understanding of Machinery safety laws and EU harmonized standards Good knowledge of 3-phase distribution Understanding of UL/NFPA/ EN60204 regulations Design of safety circuits (EN13849 regulations)

MUST HAVE: AutoCAD experience
