Our client, a leading provider in the controls and automation sector, is currently seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join their team in Leicester. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will have a strong focus on Eplan as well as extensive knowledge in controls systems. This is a permanent position with an immediate start available.
Main responsibilities
- Design electrical and control systems for a range of projects using EPlan Electric and EPlan Pro Panel software
- Generate various pages, such as title page, table of contents, revision overview, and more
- Work closely with the project team to ensure timely and budget-compliant designs
- Provide technical support to manufacturing, installation, and commissioning teams
- Proficient in safety hardware validation using SISTEMA
Requirements
- HND in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- 5+ years of experience as an electrical designer
- Familiarity with safety, regulatory, and quality standards
- Strong experience in electrical and control system design using EPlan Electric and EPlan Pro Panel software
- Knowledge of basic electrical and control components
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills
- Full UK driver's license
- Right to work in the UK
