On behalf of our client, an award winning manufacturer, we are recruiting for a motivated and enthusiastic Electrical Design Engineer to join their busy Technical Department. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, capable of developing new ideas from Concept through to production.

The Job Role;

• Designing products from concept through to production release to a given specification,agreedtimescalesandtocompanyQualityManagementSystem(QMS)
• Workwithinamulti-disciplineddevelopmentteamenvironmentanduseyourown initiative to achieve the project requirements
• Electricalschematiclayoutdesigns
• Generatedetailedtechnicaldocumentation(Drawings,BOMs,manuals, etc.)
• Generatecomprehensivecomponentspecificationsanddesigns
• Reduceproductcostsbyre-designingexisting products
• Assistproduction/serviceengineerswhenrequested
• Collaboratefullywithproductionengineeringonnewproduct launch.
• Designtestingcriteria
• ProduceECN’sfordesignupdatesorchanges

Educated to Minimum HNC qualification in an Electrical Engineering discipline, and along with a strong design background, ideally you will have the following skills and experience;

• Provenpreviouselectricaldesignexperienceinamanufacturing environment
• Fullycompetenttoreadandinterpretelectricaldrawings/schematicsandproduceelectrical design calculations
• Theabilityandwillingnesstowork 'handson’toassist faultfindingonelectrical systems
• WorkingindustryknowledgeofElectricalDesignSoftware withtheabilitytocreate/edit electrical schematics and produce BOMs
• Understanding&knowledgeofPLCsystems
• Excellentcommunicationandproblem-solvingskillswhileworkingwithother departments
• Ahighlymotivatedindividualwith excellent communication skills, andtheabilitytowork aloneand aspartofateam
