Electrical Estates Compliance Manager

Venn Group are currently recruiting for an Electrical Estates Compliance Manager in the West Midlands.

Post Summary:

The position is for an office based Electrical Estates Compliance Manager. A thorough understanding of NHS regulations and compliance along with an Electrical Engineering Background is required.

The Candidate will be responsible for covering office-based compliance work and instructing contractors to upkeep of compliance. The role will also include inspection of on-going builds.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • All operational estates maintenance and repair services for all hospital buildings, services, fabric and equipment covered by the Estates Department policies and procedures
  • Responsible for the day-to-day management of the allocated Directly Employed Labour (DEL) workforce (which in the main is sub-divided as electrical, mechanical or building bias trades)
  • Ensuring Estates Statutory Compliance across a number of services e.g. Water, Ventilation, HV/LV
  • Responsible for day-to-day site operations, maintenance and works with a large degree of autonomy for own area of responsibility, providing work status and service performance updates to the Estates Operations Manager as requested
  • Long term maintenance planning, short term projects planning, emergency, contingency planning for critical services
  • Ensuring the most appropriate and effective use of resources (both in-house and external Contractors), including labour, transportation and materials e.g. requisition, supply, deployment and security, taking into account competing priorities and performance targets

The successful candidate will have:

  • An Electrical Engineering background
  • Strong knowledge of NHS Regulations and Compliance
  • Basic DBS or be willing to have one in place before starting
