EHS Manager

Job Location: Bournemouth, Dorset

Job Type: Permanent

Salary: £45,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on level of experience

Hours: 37 hours per week,Monday - Thursday 8.00am - 4.30pm & Friday 8am - 12.45pm, flexitime available after completion of training

We are currently working with a Global Manufacturer who work within a variety of industries including Industrial, Aerospace & Defence to recruit for a EHS Manager on a permanent basis.

Within this role you will be managing the Environmental, Health and Safety for a 160,000 sq. ft manufacturing facility that has approx. 400 based in Bournemouth spread across manufacturing and office.

Some of your key duties will include but are not limited to;

  • The application, maintenance and improvement of Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) management systems applicable to UK and EU legislative requirements.
  • Working to achieve active global EHS performance targets and apply continuous improvement targets applicable to the specific business unit.
  • Working with established monitoring systems, apply effective auditing to establish both leading and lagging KPI’s.
  • Evaluate legislative requirements and apply suitable and sufficient controls to ensure compliance.
  • Apply an effective training programme for all environmental and health surveillance.

Our ideal candidate;

  • Will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a qualified safety practitioner
  • Have previous experience within a manufacturing / production / engineering environment
  • NEBOSH Diploma qualified (or equivalent or working towards)
  • ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 Auditor experience (preferred)
