EFL Teacher – hourly rate of £17.50 (gross). – London, UK

The Role

Are you an enthusiastic teacher with an accredited TEFL qualification? Are you ready to inspire and guide international students this summer in London? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you.

At Language in Action, we provide students with the English skills and speaking confidence they need to get the most out of their experience in London and well beyond.  

As an EFL teacher, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in creating a supportive and engaging learning environment for our students. You'll have the opportunity to work with teenagers aged 14-18, helping them develop their English language skills and confidence.

With 15 positions available(residential and non-residential), we have schools in the following locations: London: Bloomsbury, Wembley, Colindale, Tottenham Hale, Middlesex Uni areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and deliver engaging lessons tailored to students’ needs.
  • Maintain accurate academic records and attend training and staff meetings.
  • Ensure the welfare and safety of students at all times.
  • Actively participate in social activities and events.
  • Adhere to safeguarding and health & safety guidelines.
  • Provide a positive and professional role model for students.

The Person

  • Applicants should be CELTA, Trinity TESOL or PGCE qualified teachers.
  • Other qualifications meeting British Council recognised Summer School standards will also be considered.
  • Must have a University degree.
  • Excellent teaching skills
  • A professional attitude
  • Strong organisational and communication abilities.
  • Cultural awareness and adaptability.
  • Experience working with teenagers and diverse cultures.
  • Native or near native level of English
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
