The Role:

HCC are expecting the EP to commit to a certain amount of assessments per week / month. There are around 80 assessments per month to complete within the team.

The purpose of the job is to make psychology available as a resource for communities.

To contribute to improving the quality of education provided by maintained schools and academies in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight for children, young people and those with SEN by:

Providing psychological advice (including statutory advice) to SEN services and other officers for children and young people aged 0 to 25.

Providing psychological advice and support to communities, schools, parents, children and young people.

Contributing to multi-agency support for children and young people.

Contributing to service research activity.

The candidate:

Successful experience as a practicing educational psychologist.

A degree recognised by the British Psychological Society.

Registration with the HCPC as a practitioner psychologist and eligible to use the adjectival title of educational psychologist, or registration within 3 months of taking the post.
