Our client is a charity that helps children and young people (up to age 25), parents, and families, to rebuild their lives when a child grieves or when a child dies. The charity also provides training to professionals, equipping them to provide the best possible care to bereaved families.

Education Development Coordinator
Location: Hybrid: Home based with travel to events across the UK and Child Bereavement UK head office in Loudwater, Buckinghamshire
Hours: 37.5 per week
Salary: £26,000 per annum
Reporting: Head of Education Sector Support

The charity is looking to expand our team by recruiting a talented and highly motivated individual to work within the Education Support and Development Team, reporting to the Head of Education Sector Support to provide support, information and resources for the education sector across the UK.

Principal responsibilities

  • Respond to enquiries from across the sector from education professionals by telephone, email or online meeting, including providing support to the charity's Helpline
  • Signpost to relevant support materials available on the charity website
  • Provide information about training options for the education sector
  • Research options for marketing, promotion and speaking opportunities
  • Review educational content on website in partnership with Head Education Sector Support
  • Help to develop additional educational resources as necessary
  • Promote training, resources, and initiatives across the education sector
  • Facilitate face-to-face and online training
  • Attend team meetings, individual supervision, and team reflective practice sessions
  • Collate information and data for reports, funding requests and training feedback
  • Pro-actively seek information about educational events and publications to raise awareness of the charity
  • Represent the charity at external third-party events and conferences, face to face and digital as required
  • Maintain an up-to date knowledge of information relating to the education sector by regular reading, research and attending events
  • Build relationships with stakeholders including the development of children, young people and adult focus groups
  • Attend regular supervision and reflective practice sessions
  • To uphold the charity's ethos in all aspects of the role
