If you have worked in Editing, ESOL or Translation into English, this could be your role!

About the Company:

Our client is a small, multicultural company that takes pride in making a meaningful impact through their work, utilising various language sources to create reports.

Role and Responsibilities:

As an editor and proofreader, you will perform final quality checks on English reports derived from materials in other languages. Your role will involve providing feedback and coaching to the diverse team of report writers, ensuring the highest standard of linguistic accuracy and financial comprehension. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the quality assurance process and make a tangible difference in the final deliverables to clients.

Requirements:

• Exceptional proficiency in written and spoken English
• Proven experience in proofreading and editing English documents
• Strong background in working with foreign languages, with a focus on understanding the nuances of translation into English
• Ability to provide effective coaching and feedback to support the professional development of the team

Location and Work Environment:

Based in the office near Marlborough, you will enjoy a tranquil rural setting surrounded by expansive woodlands, offering an ideal environment for relaxation and rejuvenation, easily commutable by car from Swindon, Newbury, Devizes, and Chippenham.

This is a full-time (35 hours, Mo-Fr, 9 am - 5 pm) predominantly office-based role in Marlborough (4 days in the office), which requires daily commuting and your own transport. You must have the right to work in the UK.
