Purpose of the role:

We are looking for an enthusiastic eCommerce executive (with direct experience of eBay & Amazon) to help us grow our Sales and optimize our range online. As an established online retailer (through third party platforms) we have an exciting opportunity for someone who has first-hand experience managing sales platforms to help us continue to grow our sales, as well as manage the platforms ensuring we are pricing competitively, develop our range and offering, whilst using our extensive data sources to deliver our ambitious plan.

The role requires someone who is analytical and understands the need for attention to detail. There is a high degree of autonomy, and although you will be working as part of a wider eCommerce team, you will have some autonomy on how to grow sales in these channels, so entrepreneurship is key!

Responsibilities: 

Key areas: 

Online Store Management (predominantly eBay)

  • Create and manage online listings, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and attractiveness to maximise visibility and sales.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels, pricing, and promotions online to optimize sales and profitability.
  • Implement best practices for online store management, including product categorisation, keyword optimization, and image enhancement.

Performance Analysis and Reporting

  • Analyse sales performance metrics, including traffic, conversion rates, and average order value, to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations detailing eBay sales performance, key insights, and actionable recommendations for enhancing performance.

Marketing and Promotion

  • Develop and execute marketing campaigns and promotions on eBay to drive traffic, increase conversion rates, and boost sales.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to integrate eBay initiatives into overall marketing strategies, including email campaigns, social media promotions, and advertising efforts.

Customer Experience Optimization

  • Ensure a seamless and positive customer experience online, including prompt responses to inquiries, efficient order processing, and timely shipment of products (with support of wider team).
  • Monitor customer feedback and reviews on eBay and take proactive measures to address any issues or concerns to maintain high customer satisfaction ratings (with support of wider team).

Competitor Analysis

  • Conduct ongoing research and analysis of competitors' online strategies, including pricing, product assortment, and promotional tactics, to identify areas for differentiation and competitive advantage.

Stay Updated on eBay Policies and Trends

  • Stay informed about changes to eBay's policies, algorithms, and best practices, and adapt strategies accordingly to ensure compliance and maximize performance.
  • Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies related to eCommerce and eBay to identify opportunities for innovation and growth.

Responsibilities of the role:

  • Sales growth across our multiple platforms, focusing on eBay as a priority.
  • Utilising eBay and Amazon reporting to optimise margins and pricing.
  • Working with wider team to support listings and speed of listings.
  • Working with multiple-data sources to identify range and listings opportunities.
  • Stockholding focus and ensuring we have optimal stockholding range.
  • Competitor analysis and pricing maintenance.
  • Ensuring channel health is maintained across our platforms.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Proven experience in eCommerce, with a focus on selling on eBay.
  • In-depth knowledge of eBay's platform, policies, and best practices.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.

Desirable Skills & Experience:

  • Experience with eCommerce platforms, such as Shopify, Magento, or WooCommerce, is a plus.
  • Relevant certifications or training in eBay selling and eCommerce optimisation is desirable.
