Prospero Teaching are working with an 'Outstanding' Ofsted rated SEN School based in Bournemouth recruiting an Early Years / KS1 Teaching Assistant.
The School are looking for individuals that are supportive, non-judgemental, patient, easy to talk to, positive and flexible. You must be able to speak to pupils in a manner which encourages and supports them, enabling you to build trusting relationships.
Previous experience of working with young people is desirable. Experience with autistic children would be an advantage. A team player with patience, understanding and a willingness to develop is needed.
Working hours are 9.00am - 15.30pm

- Contract type - Long-Term
- Duration / Likely Duration - Ongoing
- Full time/part time - Full time
- Minimum rate of pay - £12.00 per hour
Experience, Training and Qualifications
- Calming mannerisms in challenging situations.
- Strong behaviour management skills while creating a fun learning environment.
- Driven to motivate the pupil and increase his participation.
- The ability to grow individual personal development.
- Be caring, patient and have good communication skills.
- Be self-reflective, have a willingness to learn and demonstrate initiative.
- Experience supporting an individual with Autism.
- Willing to complete Safeguarding online training.
- Complete a face-to-face over video call
To be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must:
- Hold right to work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional child related references
