Are you a Level 3 qualified Early Years Practitioner or above looking for a new challenge? Do you want to be able to work within an established private early years setting in Upper Slaughter that provides high quality childcare and utilises the outside space? If you answered yes to these questions, then Class People want to hear from you!

Class People are a registered and well-established recruitment agency, specialising in the placement of teachers and early years practitioners within the South West. Class People are currently working with a setting in Upper Slaughter who are on the lookout for a Level 3 qualified Early Years Practitioner who can work 30-40 hours; hours to be confirmed, but working 4 to 4.5 days a week.

As the right person for this job, you will:

  • Be a minimum of Level 3 qualified with a relevant childcare qualification, e.g. BEd, NVQ, CACHE, etc.
  • Have experience working with children aged 0-5 years old, spanning at least 2 years.
  • Be flexible to work across the different ages initially.
  • Be a conscientious individual who is honest and trustworthy and happy to take responsibility for a group of approximately 8 children.
  • Be able to commit to at least working 30 hours a week with the potential to work up to 40 hours.
  • Be subject to a valid DBS check or have a current DBS certificate that is registered on the update service.
  • Be relatively local and own your own vehicle, as accessibility is difficult on public transport with the nursery location.
  • Hold a Paediatric First Aid and Safeguarding qualification/accreditation
  • Have a love of the outdoors and be willing to get stuck in with all activities which could result in some muddy clothes!
