Are you an experienced and enthusiastic Primary School Teacher looking to take the next step in your career? Step Teachers are working with a "Good" Ofsted-rated Primary School in Enfield to find an Early Years Phase Leader to join their team from June 2024 as maternity cover for one year. This role as an Early Years Phase Leader will include working with a class of well-behaved and enthusiastic Reception pupils while coordinating with the school's Leadership Team to enhance and develop the school's approach to their Early Years Foundation Stage.

This school prides itself on providing a friendly, ambitious and enthusiastic environment for their pupils and are eager to find an Early Years Phase Leader that can readily contribute to this philosophy and foster an early love of learning for the young children in their care.

Early Years Phase Leader - Role:
  • Coordinating with colleagues and Senior Leadership.
  • Able to plan and deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons.
  • Maintain a well-organised classroom and ensure the safe use and storage of all equipment.
  • Work effectively with other members of staff throughout the school.
  • Ability to assess students, monitor their progress, and provide constructive feedback.
  • Compliance with the schools’ policies and the reliable implementation of these.
Early Years Phase Leader - Requirements:
  • Hold Qualified Teaching Status (QTS) or an equivalent qualification.
  • Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
  • Have recent experience as an Early Years Teacher in a primary school.
  • Have a good level of classroom and behaviour management.
