Early Years / Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant

Hays Recruitment are proud to be supporting an Ofsted rated "Good" Primary School in Winsford as they require an experienced and dedicated Teaching Assistant to cover the early years and key stage 1 classes. This is an ongoing full-time temporary role meaning it will be extended for the next full academic year for the right individual.

Your new role
In your new role as a Teaching Assistant covering the early years and key stage 1 classes, you will be working with pupils aged between 4 - 7. You will effectively use intervention and booster sessions in core subjects as well as holding learn through play, and phonics to ensure that all pupils reach their full academic potential. You will work alongside the class teacher to offer a stimulating and inclusive learning environment, with other duties consisting off behavioural management, and general classroom management.

What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role you must have full "Right to Work" in the UK as well as a minimum of 40 days referenceable experience supporting children and young people in the last 2 years, as well as:

• An NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in supporting teaching and learning is advantageous but not essential
• Previous experience working with children aged between 4 - 7
• Previous experience using phonics
