Job Title: Early Years Assistant

Location: Warmington, North Northamptonshire

Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday to Friday- 8.30am to 3.30 pm

Wednesdays - 8.30 to 12.30pm

Salary: Competitive, based on experience and qualifications

A small and vibrant primary school, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Years Assistant with experience of working across the EYFS birth to 5 age range.

This is a great opportunity for Early Years Assistants to further develop their knowledge, skills and understanding as well as contributing towards the positive achievements of our setting. You will support every child's 'learning journey' and work in partnership with families as a key person to provide children under 5 with the strongest start to their learning journey as possible.

You should have good numeracy, literacy and communication skills and a Level 3 qualification in Early Years childcare. You would be joining a caring, inclusive setting whose aim is for all children to thrive in their learning and development.

Responsibilities:

  1. To implement plans of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum by working with individuals and groups of children both indoors and outdoors, in order to provide safe, stimulating and appropriate learning and play experiences which promote children's social, emotional, physical and intellectual learning and development.
  2. To contribute to making observations and assessments, ensuring ongoing records for children (including particular individuals or groups) in the setting, in consultation with other team members, to provide for children's individual needs.
  1. To support working with parents and children together, encouraging and involving parents/carers in children's learning and other maintained foundation stage setting
  1. To report any cause for concern regarding a child's health or welfare to the designated senior member of staff responsible for Child Protection/Safeguarding Children.
  1. To record any accidents to children in the accident book, and report to a senior member of staff and parents, where appropriate.
