About Us:Our Client is a leading provider of childcare and early education services in Leeds City Centre. They pride thierselves on creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for children in their care, as well as offering excellent working conditions and opportunities for their employees. We are seeking an Area Supervisor to manage one large room within their private nursery setting.Job Description:

As the Area Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing one large room within our private day nursery. You will be responsible for managing a team of educators, ensuring high-quality care and education for the children in your room, and maintaining a safe and welcoming environment. You will work closely with the Nursery Manager to uphold the company's high standards of childcare and contribute to the overall success of the nursery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of one large room within the nursery, ensuring high standards of care and education for the children.
  • Manage and support a team of educators, providing guidance and professional development opportunities.
  • Monitor and assess the progress and development of children, maintaining accurate records and sharing information with parents and guardians.
  • Create and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and activities for children.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain open and effective communication with parents, staff, and the Nursery Manager.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive environment for children and staff alike.
Requirements:
  • A degree in Early Childhood Studies, Childcare, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role within a nursery or childcare setting.
  • Strong knowledge of early childhood pedagogy and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently as needed.
  • Passion for working with children and commitment to their development and well-being.
