Early Help Assistant - Sutton-in-Ashfield

Are you a passionate, dedicated Early Help Assistant looking for your next role? 4Recruitment Services are recruiting an Early Help Assistant to join a Children, Families and Young People team based in Nottinghamshire. You will support the work of the service in securing best outcomes for children, young people and their families. 

Umbrella Rate: £16.09 per hour

Duration: 18/03/2024 – 3 months initially

Hours: Monday to Friday, 37 hrs/week – Hybrid

Early Help Assistant role: Full JD Available

  • Direct work with children, young people and their families in line with the relevant plan
  • Provide information, advice and support to service users and their carers
  • Provide direct support to children and families, to enable plans to be to progressed in a more timely manner
  • Support Early Help Case Managers in the assessment of the needs
  • Support Early Help Case Managers to implement plans for children and families where appropriate
  • Complete home visits planned and unplanned
  • Provide transportation where required
  • Review and assess the impact of plans for children and families
  • Liaise with schools, health services, voluntary agencies and other partner agencies to gather information and implement support for children and families
  • Participate in team activities e.g. team meetings, case discussions, review of team work
  • Arrange and attend Multi-agency meetings, with responsibility for associated administrative tasks
  • Maintain accurate and up to date written records
  • Take up opportunities for relevant training and development

Essential Requirements

  • UK Driving Licence, access to a vehicle, business insurance
  • At least two years' experience of working with children, young people and their families in a social care environment
  • Knowledge of child development and children’s needs
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a range of people including children, young people, parents and carers, colleagues and other professionals and managers
  • Experience of working with other agencies, either in the statutory or voluntary sector
  • Willingness on occasion to work outside or beyond core hours
  • Enhanced Child and Adult DBS registered to the update service
