Duty Manager

We have teamed up with a prestigious family-owned company in Belfast to recruit Duty Managers for their site in south Belfast near Queen's Quarter. As a duty manager your role is to provide excellent customer service and to oversee the operations of the premises when the Manager and Assistant Manager are not present. The duty manager is also responsible for ensuring the unit's profitability and improvement by following the Company's standards and policies. The duty manager should lead by example and foster a positive and respectful team culture.

Main Duties

• Profit and Turnover

• Manage variable costs such as wages and utilities by using equipment efficiently and avoiding repairs or replacements.

• Business Planning

• Share ideas, suggestions and feedback with the Manager about promotions and entertainment.

• Promote sales for functions, events and other opportunities and involve staff in marketing activities.

• Provision of Excellent Customer Service

• Provide high-quality customer service at all times, ensuring customer satisfaction and management presence on the floor during busy hours.

• Train the team to upsell by recognizing customer needs and offering personalized solutions.

• Follow the Company standards for basic service duties.

• Stock Control

• Control all stock according to the Company procedures, including handling, portioning, wastage and administration.

• Check deliveries for quality and quantity and report any discrepancies as appropriate.

• Staffing

• Help the Manager control labour costs by adjusting to changes in demand.

• Lead by example, working professionally and supporting and caring for staff.

• Team Development and Performance Management

• Identify training needs of staff and inform the Manager.

• Participate in staff training to meet the Company's performance standards.

• Identify and report any performance or conduct issues to the Manager.

• Health and Safety

• Help monitor and comply with all legal and Company requirements for hygiene, food safety, health and safety, and keep accurate records.

Manager- Rewards

• £24,500 - £26,000 9depending on experience.
