This is a great opportunity to join an independently run, established and successful business that has branches across the Midlands. Our client is focused on giving a great customer service experience as well as offering their employees excellent training opportunity to ensure this goal is continually met.

They are a dry cleaning company with a reputation for high quality work. They are now looking for an experienced retail manager to train as a Dry Cleaning Manager who will then be offered a directorship in due course.

What we need from you as a Dry Cleaning Manager:

  • You must have 12 months experience working in retail at management level and a proven track record of managing a team
  • Have a British driving license
  • Be able to communicate with staff and customers
  • Be IT literate and have good organisational skills
  • You must be well organised and able to make decisions
  • You must have excellent customer service skills
  • Have a good knowledge of using cleaning chemicals and solvents correctly and safely
  • Have a knowledge of handling different types of textiles and fabrics
  • Have numerical skills to cope with accounts, book-keeping and budgeting
  • Have a good level of fitness
  • Be able to deal with customer concerns

Responsibilities and Tasks include:

  • Day-to-day running of the dry cleaning plant to ensure items are dispatched on time and cleaned to a very high standard
  • Communicating with all the shops on a daily basis to ensure a smoothly run company
  • You will be required to issue invoices and associated accounting requirements
  • You will be required to oversee staff recruitment
  • You will need the ability to organise staffing of the plant and shops
  • Have the ability to carry out staff training in all aspects of clothing care and customer care
  • You will need to have a diplomatic manner in dealing with customers concerns
  • You will need a working knowledge of the health and safety involved in the dry cleaning and laundering environment

Salary/Hours: £30,000 to £35,000 per year depending on experience, plus quarterly bonus scheme.

Hours: 8am to 4pm Monday to Friday.
