Job Title: DPI Inspector
Shifts: 8 hour shifts Monday to Friday - Overtime available
Salary: £26,000-£32,000
Duration: Permanent role
Location: Billingham

Our client, a thriving company experiencing substantial growth and an expanding order book, is in search of dedicated Inspectors to join their Casting and Fabrication areas. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a dynamic team and contribute to the quality assurance of our products.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct inspections of fabricated assemblies at various stages to ensure compliance with customer quality plans and drawings.
  • Verify weld procedures and perform dye penetrant inspections on assemblies.
  • Conduct Positive Material Identification (PMI) testing on materials and welds.
  • Cross-check completed assemblies against the final inspection report.
  • Complete material location sheets accurately.
  • Collaborate with relevant personnel to ensure seamless workflow.
  • Prioritize safety, adhering to the client's safety standards and procedures.
  • Uphold General 5S housekeeping and Operator Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM).


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting fabrication drawings.
  • Capable of assisting in the fabrication of assemblies when necessary.
  • ASNT DPI Level 2 certification.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong understanding of health & safety, environmental issues, and quality rules.
