DOMESTIC VIOLENCE OUTREACH SUPPORT WORKER
IMMEDIATELY REQUIRED TO WORK IN WEST MIDLANDS
 
Location:             West Midlands
Hours:                 37.5 Hours per week
Duration:             Temporary (8-12 weeks)
Start:                    8th April
Salary:                 £12 Basic + £1.51 Holiday pay (per hour)
OR £15 Umbrella
REQUIRED:         Ability to speak a South Asian Language
                              Car driver
  
 
Are you a hardworking and diligent Support Professional ready to start working for an excellent charity who pride themselves on being the leading provider of support to Black and Minoritised communities affected by domestic abuse.
  
Is so, BRC are working in partnership with a local Charity who are recruiting for an Outreach Support Worker. You will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable adults who are facing their darkest hour.
  
The successful candidate will work within Roshni’s offices and out in the community to support people suffering from domestic abuse, honour-based abuse, forced marriage, rape or sexual assault. You will help build and develop service users' personal strengths and social network enabling them to take a step in the right direction.
  
You will be a confident, empathetic, and non-judgmental person with experience working with minoritised victims of domestic abuse. You will have experience liaising with multiple agencies at any one time to provide a wraparound support package for example accessing solicitors, refuge hostels, mental health services, and social services when required. Practical advice and support to vulnerable adults, as well as a willingness to provide life skill sessions, are crucial.
  
Due to the complex nature of this role, it is important that the applicant is aware of the issues that service users face day-to-day.
  
Requirements:
  
A Valid UK Driver’s Licence with access to a car is required.
All roles involve lone working.
A fully enhanced DBS with a cleared adult and child barred list is required.
Must have the ability to speak a South Asian Language
