Key Responsibilities of a Divisional Finance Manager:
- Take lead in ensuring that rigorous financial control is maintained within the Division, through robust budget setting, budgetary control and establishing effective relationships with funders.
- Experience of leading budgeting and planning exercises in a large and complex organisation.
- Excellent Stakeholder management and relationship building skills.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft – specifically Excel.
- Data interpreter with reporting and analytical skills, strong value in the integrity of information.
- A proven track record of delivering results with resource constrictions.
- Full or part Accountancy Qualification ACA, ACCA, CIMA.
- Have experience in a senior role, working as a senior manager within a complex finance department, have a thorough understanding of financial management and financial accounting principles.
- Experience in working in a multi – agency and disciplinary environment.
- Appreciation for other people’s priorities – work positively around this.
- Significant experience of management accounting.
- Always encourages development and inclusion.
- Passionate about the United Response purpose, values & ethos.
- High level communication skills, verbal and written, ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with both Finance and non-Finance colleagues.
- Strong organisational and planning skills.
- Ability to make decisions and use initiative in highly pressured environments.
- Ability to prioritise and delegate effectively – used to working towards strict deadlines and tight timescales.
- Ability to coach, motivate and influence immediate team and broader teams.
- 25 days paid annual leave (plus 8 bank holidays, pro rata for part time), which increases after 3 and 5 years’ service.
