We are currently looking to recruit a Dispute Resolution Solicitor for our successful and well establsihed Legal client in Birmingham.  The company specialises in property, family, wills, employment, and litigation and also provide a range of commercial services. They are a progressive, forward-thinking practice and offer a supportive working environment together with opportunities for career development.

As part of the litigation team, you’ll require:

  • Proven experience working within a similar litigation role
  • Hold relevant quallifcation such as a Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive
  • A strong knowledge of Microsoft applications and web-based platforms
  • Be able to demonstrate working with minimal supervision

Due to the companies growth and expansion of new offices, the Dispute Resolution Solicitor will be expected to lead and have a proven track record of confidently and successfully appearing in Court on behalf of clients.

As a Dispute Resolution Solicitor, you’ll also be:

  • Handling S.8 and S.21 Housing Act Matters
  • Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 including forfeiture and relief
  • Dealing with Dilapidations claims and Boundary disputes
  • Challenge of Lease renewals
  • Ensure of Fast tack and multi-track legal proceedings
  • Handling of Shareholder or Director Disputes
  • Be able to prepare and provide of advice notes for clients
  • Review of and preparation of notices
  • Drafting of Court pleadings
  • Attendance at Court hearings as required to include undertaking advocacy
  • Preparation of any instructions to Counsel
  • Drafting of negotiation documents
  • Be compliant with meeting deadlines
  • Ability to run own files with minimal supervision
  • Hold strong negotiation skills
  • Building strong relationships with current and potential clients to generate Business Development
