Directors of Nursing & Assistant- Midwifery
Director of Nursing required to work in the Clinical Midwifery Department in a top Hospital Group in Saudi Arabia
This role is full time offering a superb remuneration package.
DUTIES
- Ensure midwifery and nursing staff and all learners provide care within the nursing and midwifery scope of
practice, division and unit specific guidelines, policies, procedures and established standards and protocols of
the midwifery service. - Facilitate the development, implementation and evaluation of educational activities to meet the identified needs of managers, midwifery and support personnel.
- Create a culture that fosters and empowers midwifery and nurses to achieve their optimal individual potential.
- Demonstrate negotiation skills, critical thinking and team building. Promote hospital and nursing mission and
vision and demonstrate established values. Foster collaborative relation and mutual understanding within
nursing department and other healthcare personnel. - Reviews, plans, manage and monitors the area budget.
- Participates in Committees and work groups as required.
- Actively participates in planning and development of new and expanded programmes.
- Develops and implements directorate area strategic plans.
- Facilitates the development, implementation and evaluation of educational activities to meet the identified needs of managers, nursing and support personnel.
WHAT YOU NEED
- Bachelor Degree in Nursing, Midwifery or equivalent from an accredited institution -
Essential - Master’s Degree in Nursing, Midwifery or equivalent from an accredited institution -
Essential - Formal midwifery training and qualifications and Certified Nurse Midwife; or, Certified
Midwife (CM) - Essential
Registration with Saudi Commission for Health Specialties - Essential - Minimum of 10 (ten) years’ current clinical nurse midwife or midwifery experience
following licensure/ registration in the country of origin, 5 (five) years of which in
comparable managerial capacity - Essential
