Director of Finance and Resources | Education Sector | North West

Castlefield Recruitment are working in partnership with an North West based Education orgnisation in order to appoint to a Director of Finance positions. The role offers flexible, hybrid working, a salary of up to £75,000 and 43 days holiday entitlement.



As a key member of the executive team you will lead central services including Finance, Estates & Facilities and MIS.

  • Lead on the strategic management of the organisation and drive forward corporate goals and objectives
  • Taking responsibility for accurate and timely financial reporting to support the organisation, executive team, Audit, risk and assurance committee and board
  • Leading all regulatory reporting requirements, and overseeing the production of the annual financial statements, leading the audit process and building a relationship with the external auditors
  • Acting as the lead coordinator for the development, implementation, and monitoring of Value for Money strategy for in line with regulator’s requirements
  • Ensuring the organisation's cash balances and cashflow forecasting is managed efficiently

The person;

  • It is essential that you are fully qualified accountant
  • Significant experience within Education, or the wider public sector
  • Experienced in change and project management
  • Able to lead and empower colleagues
