Description
- Overseeing all financial operations and guiding financial strategy
- Leading the Finance department and fostering a team-oriented environment
- Presenting financial reports to the board and making informed recommendations
- Ensuring the company's financial practices are in line with statutory regulations and legislation
- Conducting analysis to forecast future financial trends
- Managing organisational budget to optimise expenditure
- Implementing robust financial systems and processes
- Engaging with key stakeholders on financial matters
Profile
A successful Director of Finance should have:
- An academic background in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Proven experience in a senior financial managerial role within the not-for-profit sector
- Excellent knowledge of financial legislation and regulation
- Strong financial and accounting background, including an understanding of profit and loss, budgeting, and cash flow management
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to guide a team
