Overview:
Compass Associates are delighted to be working with one of the Leading UK Private Healthcare providers for their Neurological service in the Cheltenham area to recruit for the role of Director of Clinical Services.
You will provide clinical management and leadership to the unit team; acting as a role model within the service to foster a culture of professional development and excellent standards of care, promote positive team building and set priorities, objectives, and goals.

Key responsibilities:
Deputising for other members of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT)
To meet with Commissioner, ITU Departments, Local Authority stakeholder management
Quality improvement
Operational effectiveness (day-to-day) and management of direct reports including Heads of Department
Ability to work with a diverse range of agencies and partner organisations.

Location:
The position is commutable from Bristol, Newport, Cheltenham, Tewkesbury, Worcester, Bath, Hereford, Gloucester, Cirencester and the surrounding areas.

Criteria:
Active NMC pin and Full Nurse Qualification (RGN preferred)
Governance, Risk Management, Safeguarding, Budgeting & Clinical Management experience
Demonstrable experience of leading a Clinical Department/Team
Experience in a neurological/acute setting desirable.
Clinically up to date

Interview Process:
Informal Visit then Interview with Service Director and Ops manager followed by Group discussion with Heads of Department, Staff and Patients (Interview and Discussion typically on the same day)

Shift Pattern:
Monday - Friday 40 Hours a week, on call 1 in 3 weeks (typically phone advice, but would be expected to go to service if required)
