The Company:
Our client is a well-established importer and distributor part of a larger multinational Group

Main Duties:
Play a key role in French financial management, ensuring accurate reporting and enhancing systems for seamless integration.

Report to the UK Commercial Director and collaborate with the Group finance team to optimize cash management and improve global profitability through clear and accurate product costings.

The Role:
- Provide senior-level support, acting as liaison for finance in French operations.
- Oversee financial and management reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Develop reporting systems to meet local and global standards, informing decision-making.
- Analyse market trends and competitor activity for strategic guidance.
- Optimize cashflow efficiency and manage risk.
- Lead planning and budgeting, monitoring performance for decision support.
- Drive cost optimization and operational improvements.
- Ensure legal compliance and mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with IT for reporting system development and integration, ensuring data reliability.
- Contribute to strategic plans aligning with wider group objectives and identify growth opportunities.
- Analyse operational metrics and implement efficiency initiatives.
- Manage HR tasks for French Division, ensuring compliance and consistency.
- Oversee payroll accuracy and collaborate on issue resolution.
- Manage non-financial tasks, ensuring regulatory compliance and prompt resolution.

Candidate's profile:
- Fluent in English and French (Written and spoken)
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
- Proven financial management experience, preferably in multinational or French market contexts
- Essential leadership experience overseeing complex financial operations
- In-depth knowledge of French financial reporting standards and regulations
- Familiar with French legal and regulatory requirements in finance and business operations
- Experience collaborating with legal counsel and regulatory authorities
- Skill in identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial and operational risks
- Strong analytical abilities for monitoring operational performance & identifying improvement areas
- Capable of implementing initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and streamline processes

Salary: 80000 euros per annum (circa 6500 euros per month)
